Knit Along - PART 2

phew, time is running so fast, it's already tuesday and i missed yesterday's knit-along post. this time it's about yarn and final pattern choice.

i decided to go for the drops pattern - mainly because it seems reasonably easy and i guess it'll be easier to whip up than the filigree cardigan (which i actually like a bit better). i guess i just have to be realistic. i usually need a ridiculous amount of time to finish off any kind of project i start so i'd rather go with something that seems manageable in the time given.

the choise of colour was rather difficult. i didn't know if i should play it save and go for a colour which i usually wear (grey or black) but then i figured that i kind of like the colur given in the actualy pattern so i was brave and ordered the light pink.

yesterday the parcel from strickcafe arrived with all this lovely pink yarn and i'm curious what it will look like when it's done. it's definitely a spring colour!

in the meantime i whipped up two crochet hats for a friend's children as it's carnival next week and i thought anyone could do with a silly hat.

i decided on a hello kitty hat for the girl and a little monster hat for her brother. the latter makes me laugh whenever i look at it:)

die zeit vergeht so schnell und ich habe prompt den zweiten knit along termin verpasst. dieses mal geht es um garn und das finale muster. ich habe mich nun doch für das drops jäckchen entschieden. eigentlich gefällt mir das filigree etwas besser aber ich denke, ich muss realistisch bleiben in sachen zeit. normalerweise brauche ich hundert jahre um ein projekt zu beenden (vor allem da ich ständig neues beginne) und ich möchte es wirklich in vorgegebener zeit beenden können. das drops muster erscheint mir einfacher als das filigree, vor allem, da die rückenpartie nicht auch noch mit einem muster versehen ist.

bei der farbe hatte ich schon mehr probleme. ich wusste nicht, ob ich auf nummer sicher gehen sollte und eine farbe wählen, die ich normalerweise auch trage (grau, schwarz) oder ob ich mutig sein soll. das bild auf dem drops muster mit der rosa jacke gefällt mir sehr gut und da ich auch blond bin, dachte ich, ich könnte ja auch mal was wagen. gestern ist dann das paket mit dem hellrosa garn vom strickcafe gekommen und ich bin sehr gespannt, wie das zum schluss aussieht. zumindest sehr frühlingshaft!

in der zwischenzeit habe ich noch schnell zwei häkelmützen für die kinder einer freundin gehäkelt. kommende woche ist bei uns fasnacht und da kann man eine lustige mütze gebrauchen. ich habe mich für eine hello kitty mütze für das mädchen und ein kleines monster für den bruder entschieden. vor allem das monster bringt mich zum laschen, wenn ich die mütze anschaue:)
