whooo whooo....

for the baby shower of a dear friend i decided to sew a blanket. 

one side is made from minky dot fabric (ordered at fabric.com) and one side is a cotton fabric with a darling owl print. 

it's 35 inch square stuffed with a cotton batting. sewn wrong side to wrong side, turned inside out and then topstitched as i didn't have time for a proper binding. 

as the little man will be born in two week's time and winter is already here, i also made a tiny crochet owl hat (pattern found here on ravelry). i used drops andes in three colours and a lang yarn for eyes and beak.

für die baby shower einer guten freundin habe ich eine baby decke genäht. sie ist 90x90cm und war ganz schnell genäht. die eine seite ist aus einem mit eulen bedruckten baumwollstoff und die andere seite aus einem wunderbar kuschligen minki dot, den ich bei fabric.com bestellt habe. da ich keine zeit hatte um einen echten quilt mit binding zu erstellen, habe ich die stoffe mit der baumwoll vlies fllung einfach links auf links aufeinander genäht, das ganze umgestülpt und dann mit der maschine einmal umrandet. 

da der winter bereits schon hier ist und der kleine in zwei wochen kommt, habe ich dazu eine eulen mütze gehäkelt. das muster dazu ist 'sleepy owl pattern' gefunden auf raverly. benutzt habe ich eine meiner lieblings wollen - andes von drops.
