new year's eve skirt...

my brocade circle skirt is finally done - or is it not? generally i really like it. i still think the fabric is amazing! it fits comfortably around the waist without being too tight. it's made of so much fabric that it feels like a ball gown. basically it's the bottom part of vogue 1102 (same as my christmas dress) and i just simply fitted a waistband onto it.

the zip is not perfect (should've sewn it by hand) and there is still this awful mark in the the front of the waistband but nevertheless i love it.

i'll be wearing it with a crinoline underneath (a very comfy one made of such a soft fabric that it gives it just a slight pouff).

i'm not entirely decided on the hem though. i actually wanted to fold it over and blindstitch it but at the moment it has a bias tape finish.

i'm not sure what i should go for but i'll definitely wear it with my pair of nude patent leather shoes (the kate middleton ones) which i bought for a wedding in november and for which i had to wait an eternity.

mein silvester rock ist fertig. im grossen ganzen gefällt er mir sehr und trägt sich sehr angenehm. ich finde den stoff immer noch unglaublich schön. der rock ist aus so viel stoff gefertigt, dass er sich fast wie ein ballkleid anfühlt. eigentlich ist es der untere teil aus vogue 1102 (mein weihnachtskleid) an welchen ich einen bund genäht habe.

der reisverschluss ist noch immer nicht top - hätte ihn wohl von hand einnähen sollen und die blöde falte vorne am bund geht auch nicht mehr weg aber was solls. ich werde ihn mit einem petticoat tragen, den ich bestellt hatte. ein unglaublich bequemes ding aus ganz feinem stoff, der dem rock gerade den richtigen schwung gibt ohne nach kostümfest auszusehen.

ich bin noch etwas unentschieden über den saum. eigentlich wollte ich ihn umfalten und mit blindstichen festnähen aber bis jetzt hat er nur den silbrigen schrägband abschluss. vielleicht werde ich den saum auch so belassen, ich noch etwas unentschieden. ganz sicher werde ich ihn aber mit meinen nude farbenen lackpumps tragen (die kate middleton schuhe), welche ich für eine hochzeit im november gekauft hatte und auf welche ich eine ewigkeit warten musste.
