my circle skirt got a waistband and a zipper today. the waistband doesn't fit the mannequin perfectly. it's not totally skin tight on me either but the way i plan to wear the skirt it's not too bad for the sake of comfort. i decided to make two pleats at the back of the skirt which gives the back a bit of vavoom.
as always sewing the zip was a nightmare - don't look too closely it's very wonky and doesn't look too perfect but i'm proud. it's only my second garment i've been sewing so far.
now there's only the hem and i need some nice button or hook/eye to finish the waistband off.
unfortunately there is a awful mark right in the front from where i ironed the waistband - have to figure out what i'm going to do about this.
i'll show it off on me once it's finished.

mein tellerrock hat einen bund und einen reissverschuss erhalten heute. ich habe mir diesmal richtig viel mühe gegeben mit stecknadeln und dem ganzen programm. das ergebnis ist dennoch nicht perfekt aber ich bin stolz, da es erst mein zweites tragbares kleidungsstück ist.
der reissverschluss war ein albtraum - das kann ich einfach nicht! das nächste mal mache ich es wohl von hand. man darf nicht genau hinsehen, er ist ziemlich schief. der bund steht an der puppe etwas ab, mir sitzt der rock besser aber der bund ist auch etwas locker, was mir jedoch nichts ausmacht vor allem, da ich eine bestimmte outfit kombination im kopf habe. nun fehlt noch eine schöne zierschliesse und ich muss den rock noch säumen (und die endgültige länge bestimmen).
ein kleiner wermutstropfen ist die falte exakt in der mitte des bundes, die sich beim bügeln ergeben hat. da muss ich mir noch etwas einfallen lassen.
